Mise En Scene- Time Management.

I will complete my Mise En Scene when i come back to school as it will not be finished before the end of term, and do not want it to be rushed and completed to the best of my ability. I will start by doing my photo shoot for my front cover when i come back after half term.

Mise en Scene- Camera Angles.

Camera Angles- The camera angles that i would like for my music magazine is a straight shot with all actors either looking straight at the camera or looking slightly away, to show a typical bossy attitude. I think that looking direct at the camera or looking slightly away will show that they have attitude. Both of these looks will go well with how i want my magazine to be and what i want it to be about.  Here are some examples;

Mise en Scene- Location.

As i have been thinking about where i would like the location to be for my magazine, i think it would be a good idea to have a backdrop of either a brick wall or blank wall so then if i change my mind, it will be easy to take the background out at a later date. Also by having a block colour i would be able to add writing and the audience of my magazine would have no trouble reading the text.

Mise en Scene- Props.

 Props- In my photo shoot, my actors will not be using props. This is because i want the audience to focus on the main feature has it has on the majority of the examples of magazines that i used. Here are examples of some magazines that focus on the main feature.

Mise en Scene- Costume and Makeup.

Costumes- Costumes will be focused on bright, fashionable, inspirational dresses or skirts or light coloured jeans.  Makeup will be girly and 'full of life', this will act as an inspiration to girls. My actors will have one costume throughout the shoot as i want it to stay simple yet fun. Makeup will stay the same within the shoot as i don't want it to be complicated for my actors and still want my audience to notice the simple yet elegant look. Although my actors will be wearing jeans i think that it will be affective as costumes will not be related to any dark colours. Hair will be either curly or straight yet done up.

Actors- The actors that i have chosen to model in my photo shoot for my magazine are Rachel Allen, Ellie Dean and Kate Skeggs and will focus them on being a 'new pop band". I think using 3 girls will make it more eye catching and inspirational to younger girls. Readers will be able to take inspiration from their fashion, makeup and how they are as people as well as enjoying the music that they produce as a band.

Reflecting My Choice

In my research, i looked at several different magazines genre. I have now decided that the music magazine that i am going to create is based on Pop Music. The age group that my magazine is going to be aimed at is teenagers (13-17) year olds. This is because pop music is one if the main genres that are frequently played. My magazine is aimed at mainly girls. The price that my magazine will range from is £1.99. My magazine will also include bands/artists such as One Direction, Ariana Grande, Little Mix and Justin Bieber.

Billboard Magazine- 
Billboard magazine have always kept up-to date with the artists that feature on their magazines to the latest artists in the charts. Such as; Justin Bieber, Beyonce, Ariana Grande, etc. All of these artists are global stars and have fans all around the world.

Q Magazine-
Q magazine have also kept up-to date with the artists that feature of their magazines, to the artists that are popular on the charts. Some of the artists that have featured on Q magazine so far are; Ed Sheeran, Adele, Cheryl Cole, etc. All of these artists are global stars and have fans all around the world.

Vogue Magazine-
Due to research, it also shows that Vogue magazine have kept up-to date with the artists that feature on their front cover, some of the artists that have featured on their magazine front cover so far are; Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Lana Del Ray, etc.

Finding Out About The Magazine Company.

Billboard-  
Billboard magazine are a well known, and popular company. They seem to be especially popular in America as majority of the stars that appear on Billboards front covers. Billboard have a total of 48K readers, during my research i found that the magazine is read with keen focus week in, week out by the leaders of the business and the power players who are "driving the music business". 














Q Magazine-
Due to my research, Q magazine is also a very well known and popular company. Many of the artists that i like have featured on the front cover of Q magazine. Q magazine have a total of 46,096 readers. Q magazine published their first magazine October 1986 and still publish magazines to this day. And in January 2008 EAMP sold its consumer magazine titles including Q, to the Bauer Media Group.

Vogue Magazine-
My research also shows that vogue magazine is a very popular company in the USA. Vogue magazine base their magazine on fashion and music, the first issue was published in 1892 and sold well. Over the years that vogue magazine has been going, they have gained more and more readers and now have a total of 11 million readers in the US, and 12.5 readers internationally.

Choosing A Music Genre.

Rock 'n' Roll; I think that choosing Rock 'n' Roll as my magazine genre would be challenging yet enjoyable as there is so much going on, on the front covers that i have researched. This would benefit me as it would allow me to explore alot of tools on photoshop and help me get used to it all. Rock 'n' Roll genre would also be interesting as there would be alot of ways i could take pictures of my actors and there is several props that they can use.












Pop Music; I think that choosing Pop Music as my magazine genre would be fun and enjoyable, there is plenty of background ideas that i could think of doing and a lot of extras on the front cover that i could do. There is also a lot of tool that i could use on photoshop that could help me complete my front cover of my music magazine. Pop music could be an interesting genre to focus my music magazine cover on as there is plenty of ways that i could take pictures of my actors and also several different and unique props i could use in the shoot for my music magazine.

Here is where i created a text box to show where i would add my school logo.

Duplicating Layers.

Here i have shown how i duplicated layers, by first of all right clicking on the mouse and then the drop down menu shown in the picture appears and clicking on the tab that is highlighted in blue.

Issue Number / Date for Contents Page.

Here i duplicated the layer from the front cover and copied it to my contents page which saved me time on creating a new text box.

Here i used several different layer for my front cover, using layers made it al ot easier and flexible for me to go back and change anything that needed to be changed.
